City police said a driver was killed and that a passenger in another vehicle was injured after a collision. The crash occurred Thursday night in the 100 block of Linville Road. Winston-Salem police said a vehicle driven by Montaye Santez Rice crossed the double yellow line and collided with a vehicle. Rice was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. The injured passenger was being treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Police said the incident is the 16th traffic fatality of 2014.
