Monett, MO : Woman injured in wreck north of Monett on Tuesday, February 7, 2017

A Monett woman was injured Tuesday in a wreck at 2:11 a.m. on Farm Road 1090, three miles north of Monett.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Shelby Bennett, 20, of Monett, was driving a 1998 Chevrolet Monte Carlo southbound when her vehicle swerved to avoid a deer in the roadway, causing it to run off the roadway and overturn.

Bennett suffered minor injuries and was transported to Cox Monett Hospital.

She was wearing a safety device, and the vehicle was totaled.
