LaPlace, LA: Overturned truck in LaPlace slows traffic, no injuries reported on Monday, July 20th 2015

A one-vehicle accident in LaPlace shortly after 9 a.m. Monday (July 20) slowed traffic for several hours on U.S. 51 and Airline Highway in St. John the Baptist Parish. No one was injured.According to a State Police spokeswoman, the driver of a truck was cited for careless operation after his truck overturned as he attemped to make a turn from Airline headed north on U.S. 51. Authorities say he was going too fast.
