Chesterfield Township, MI : 45-year-old man died after hit by two cars on Gratiot Avenue in Macomb County on Thursday morning, December 3, 2015

A 45-year-old was killed Thursday morning when he was hit by two cars while walking on Gratiot Avenue near 22 Mile Road, Chesterfield Township police said.

The victim, who has not yet been identified, was first hit by a car in the southbound lanes and then by another car in the northbound lanes, police said.

Both drivers remained on the scene.

Police are allowing traffic to get by on the shoulder.
