Sacramento, CA : Car plows into Western Dental along Watt Avenue on Thursday, February 5, 2015

A car crashed through a glass window and wall at the Western Dental Center at the intersection of Watt Avenue and Arden Way Thursday morning.

The California Highway Patrol first got a call of a vehicle into a power pole along Watt Avenue at 4 a.m.

Moments later a second call came in reporting that a car slammed into the side of the Western Dental building.

The car just missed a tree before it clipped the corner of a wall and crashed through a glass window into the lobby of the dental office.

Witnesses reported three men running from the scene.

CHP officers were checking area hospitals after it appeared at least the driver and passenger were not wearing seat belts and suffered injuries in the crash.

A power pole was left dangling over the northbound side of Watt Avenue.

A big rig clipped the low-hanging wires and pulled down two more power poles before noticing the problem, according to CHP officers.

By 6:30 a.m. SMUD workers had restored power to the area.

Officers said the car had not been reported stolen and they were working to find the owner.

Officers were not sure why the car lost control but said speed was certainly a factor.
