Decatur, AL : Four people hurt in 2-vehicle accident at Beltline and Alabama 24 on October 2nd 2016
At least four people were transported to the hospital after a two-vehicle accident at Beltline Road and Alabama 24 this afternoon.
One male victim was airlifted by an Air Evac Lifeteam helicopter to Huntsville Hospital at 3:47 p.m.
Ryan Welty, director of the Morgan 911 office, said his department received a call at 3:07 about the accident involving two red Ford Explorers. Welty said the report listed five people injured and taken to hospitals.
Tools from an overturned older model Ford Explorer with a Lawrence County tag were scattered on the exit ramp from Beltline Road. Decatur police and Decatur Fire and Rescue worked the accident. Decatur police are still investigating. One worker at the scene said four people were taken for medical treatment; another worker said six people were injured.
