Longwood, FL : Construction worker seriously hurt after a hit-and-run crash on I-4 in Seminole County on Tuesday, March 3, 2015

State troopers believe they may have found the truck involved in a hit-and-run that injured a construction worker on Interstate 4.
Christopher Cattaneo, 23, was struck in the eastbound lanes near Longwood early Tuesday morning.
Cattaneo was part of the overnight crew that was repainting the white lines on I-4 when he was struck.
Investigators believe he was likely hit by the side mirror of a truck that kept on driving.
Florida Highway Patrol said they may have located the truck involved in the accident.
Troopers impounded a 2014 red Chevy Silverado with damage consistent with what they said would have resulted in the hit-and-run.
Cattaneo remains hospitalized at Orlando Regional Medical Center with serious injuries. His mother told Channel 9 he has a long recovery ahead.
“He remembers exactly what happened,” said Sharon Cattaneo. “Wasn’t like he was facing the truck when it came at him, so he didn’t see it coming.”
She said her focus is on her son’s recovery.
“Now he’s got to try and pick up the pieces and go through therapy to get better. The pain he’s suffering is really unnecessary,” she said.
FHP said it has spoken with the owner of the truck, but troopers are still trying to confirm it was connected to the crime.
