Reno, NV : One man died after being hit by a car on Interstate 580 on Monday, February 8, 2016

Nevada authorities say one man has died after being hit by a car on Interstate 580.

Highway Patrol Trooper Duncan Dauber says the man was lying in the northbound lanes of I-580 at about 1 a.m. Monday when he was struck by a Honda Civic.

Officers performed CPR and were able to get a weak pulse. Paramedics were called to transport the man to the hospital by helicopter but he died before the flight arrived.
