Beckley, W.V : Ohio man killed after car crashes into house near Bentree on Wednesday, December 28, 2016

An Ohio man was killed Wednesday when his vehicle struck a house on W.Va. 16 near Bentree, Nicholas County Sheriff David Hopkins reported in a press release.

Jonathan Brown, 53, of Mount Vernon, was driving south when his vehicle slid on a patch of black ice.

Hopkins reported that Brown apparently lost control of his 2001 Honda Civic. His vehicle struck a house, killing Brown on impact.

Deputies notified Brown's nearest relative, a nephew, of his death, according to Hopkins.
