Biker, 23, drove recklessly, fled deputies before fatal crash in Poughkeepsie New York
Authorities say a 23-year-old man killed in a motorcycle accident earlier this month was driving recklessly at high speeds with another biker just before he sped away from police and crashed.The Dutchess County Sheriff's Office says Monday that witnesses told investigators that Joshua Bohlmann of the town of Poughkeepsie and a 22-year-old man were speeding around their hometown on Oct. 13.Officials say deputies tried to pull over the bikers at a stop light at 3 a.m., but the two men rode off. Bohlmann was killed when he lost control on Route 9G and crashed.Deputies say he only had a motorcycle learner's permit.The other biker was later charged with unlawfully fleeing a police officer, reckless driving and speeding.
