BEDFORD COUNTY, VA : Man dead in Bedford County crash on Friday, 18th October 2024

A man is dead after a single-vehicle crash Friday, October 18.

Virginia State Police responded at 10:05 p.m. to reports of a crash on Jordantown Road, three quarters of a mile north of Wilford Hollow Road in Bedford County.

A driver of a 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe ran off the right side of the road, overturned, and struck several trees, according to Virginia State Police.

The driver of the Tahoe, Robert Taulbee Meador, 34, of Fincastle, died at the scene. Police say he was not wearing a seatbelt.
