Brundidge, AL : Joy Bonner, 69, killed and two injured in a two-vehicle crash in Pike County on Wednesday, Nov 11, 2015
A two-vehicle crash on Wednesday in the Brundidge community claimed the life of a 69-year-old woman, Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Sergeant Steve Jarrett says.
Sergeant Jarrett says Joy Bonner, 69, was killed when the 2003 Toyota Rav4 she was driving collided with a 2001 Ford F350 Brundidge Volunteer Fire vehicle. Bonner was transported to a local hospital and later pronounced dead. A passenger in the Rav4 suffered-life threatening injuries and was transported to Southeast Alabama Medical Center.
The driver of the F350, 80-year-old Joseph Sonntage, and a passenger were transported to Troy Regional hospital with minor injuries.
Jarrett says the accident happened at 6:16 p.m. on U.S. 231 at the intersection of S.A. Graham Blvd.
Alabama State Troopers are continuing their investigation and no further information is available.
