Topeka, KS : Man injured in Kansas Turnpike crash on Thursday night, December 29, 2016
Two Topeka drivers were involved in a crash Thursday night that left a man injured.
Just after 10 p.m. on the Kansas Turnpike between Topeka and Lawrence near milepost 187.9, Albert Oyerly, 45, lost control of his 2008 Ford Expedition while changing lanes. The SUV then sideswiped Subaru Forester driven by Brett Martin, according the the Kansas Highway Patrol.
The impact caused Martin, 42, to strike the barrier wall.
Both men were wearing a seat belt, but Martin was injured and transported to a hospital, according to KHP.
