Grandview, WA : Grandview man dies after medical emergency, car crash in Yakima County on Saturday, July 9, 2016

A Grandview man died Saturday after a medical emergency apparently caused him to lose control of his vehicle, the Yakima County Sheriff's Department said.

Troy Harris, 46, of Grandview was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident on the 2800 block of Forsell Road at 1 p.m. Saturday, according to a news release from Sgt. Cory Sanderson.

Officers responding to a report of a vehicle collision found Harris' car had drifted off the road and struck several fence posts, Sanderson said. Emergency responders administered CPR, but their efforts were unsuccessful.

It does not appear that the low-speed collision caused Harris' death, but rather it was the result of the medical emergency, Sanderson said. There was no further information on the nature of the medical emergency.
