HUNNEWELL, MO : Emden teen injured in crash north of Hunnewell on Wednesday, 25th July 2018

An Emden teen was injured in a Wednesday night crash north of Hunnewell.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 1994 Chevrolet S10 driven by Vincent D. Brummer, 19, of Emden was westbound on Route AA at County Road 472, about 3 miles north of Hunnewell, at 9:17 p.m. The patrol said the vehicle lost control on the gravel road, crossed over onto the blacktop and overturned, coming to rest on the road on its top.

A passenger in the vehicle, Emily D. Rupert, 17, of Emden, was taken by Salt River Ambulance to Hannibal Regional Hospital with moderate injuries.

The patrol said both people were wearing seat belts.

The patrol was assisted by the Shelby County Sheriff's Department, Shelby County Fire and Rescue and Salt River Ambulance.
