Thermopolis, WY : 41-year-old Jamie Winters killed in fatal crash on US Highway 20, south of Thermopolis on Saturday, June 11, 2016

A fatal crash over the weekend results in the death of a Wyoming woman.

Wyoming Highway Patrol Sgt. David Wagener said a fatal crash on US Highway 20 happened Saturday at about 12:40 p.m., about eight miles south of Thermopolis, Wyoming. Wagener said the victim, 41-year-old Jamie Winters from Cheyenne, Wyoming was traveling north when her car crossed the centerline and collided with the rear-end of a pickup in the southbound lane.

Winters was transported to Hot Springs Memorial Hospital in Thermopolis. She died of her injuries. The passenger in Winters' car was not wearing his seatbelt and was taken to the hospital. The driver of the pickup was not injured.

Wagener said alcohol is being investigated as a factor in the crash.
