Cleveland, OH : Three people injured after a crash on I-480 near Tiedeman Road on Sunday morning, March 1, 2015
Two people and a Brooklyn police officer were injured after a crash on I-480 eastbound near Tiedeman Road Sunday morning.
Officials were responding to an earlier crash shortly before 10 a.m., when an oncoming white Jeep passing by lost control and went through the guard rail.
The Jeep overturned and fell down into an embankment.
Officer Shane Phillips, who had been securing the scene, dodged the vehicle by jumping the guard rail. He had non-life threatening injuries to his hip and shoulder.
The officer was treated and released from the hospital early Sunday afternoon.
The driver and passenger in the Jeep were sent to the hospital. No update was made available on the extent of injuries.
Officials had closed a portion of I-480 eastbound between Tiedeman Road and Ridge Road as they cleared the scene. It has since been reopened.
