STAFFORD, NY : Stafford accident sends three to hospitals on Tuesday, December 27th 2016

Two vans collided head-on at Route 33 near Mill Road a little before 11:30 p.m. Tuesday night, sending three people to area hospitals.
One person was ejected, but was not seriously injured. Another victim was reportedly unconscious when emergency crews arrived, but later regained consciousness. One other also suffered non-life threatening injuries in the accident.
The collision occurred just east of the thruway bridge and the roadway was extremely icy. The road was shut down for about an hour.
State Police are investigating the accident.
