Authorities believe driver impairment was a factor in a deadly head-on crash in Mesa.
Police say the accident happened just before 7 a.m. Saturday near Stapley Drive and McKellips Road.
According to investigators, a car veered into wrong-way traffic and collided with a truck.
The driver and sole occupant of the passenger vehicle died at the scene.
The driver of the truck was not injured.
Police have not released the victim's name.
They believe the victim was impaired at the time of the crash.
