Durham, NC : Two drivers killed in head-on crash on state Highway 98 in Durham on Friday, August 1, 2014

Authorities have released the names of two drivers killed in a head-on crash in Durham as one man fled police. Durham Police said they were asked to help the Drug Enforcement Administration with a traffic stop around 6 p.m. Friday on state Highway 98. The driver pulled over, but then sped away. Investigators say the Chevrolet Impala soon crashed head-on into another vehicle. The man in the Impala died at the scene, while the woman in the other car died at the hospital. The News & Observer of Raleigh reports that the State Highway Patrol has identified the Impala driver as 52-year-old Angel Luis Santana of Henderson. The other driver has been identified as 55-year-old Tamara Lou White of Raleigh. The DEA is not discussing its investigation.
