Duluth, MN : Man killed in a car-motorcycle crash on Saturday, June 10, 2017

The Wisconsin State Patrol on Monday identified the man killed in a car-motorcycle crash Saturday in Bayfield County as David Apka, 64, of Cornucopia.

The Patrol said that Apka was operating a motorcycle on State Highway 13 in Cornucopia at about 7 p.m. when he was struck by an oncoming car that was attempting to make a left turn onto Superior Avenue.

The driver of the car, a 48-year-old Bayfield man, was treated for injuries at the scene. Alcohol use by the driver of the car is believed to be a factor in the crash, the Patrol said.
