Hendry County, FL : Four people injured in chain-reaction crash on SR-80 in Hendry County on Friday afternoon, March 6, 2015
Four people were seriously injured in a chain-reaction crash Friday afternoon on SR-80 in Hendry County.
The crash happened between four cars that were heading eastbound directly behind each other just after 3 p.m. near the intersection of Fort Denaud Road.
The Florida Highway Patrol says the crash happened after a Toyota Camry driven by 25-year-old Savannah Swann, of Palmdale, hit the back of a Mazda. The Mazda then hit an SUV, which then hit a Buick.
Swann was taken to Lee Memorial with serious injuries.
The driver of the Mazda directly hit by the Camry was Danielle Kristine Tritt, 21, of Ft. Denaud. She was taken to Lee Memorial Hospital with serious injuries alongside one of her passengers, Cassidy Pascher, 17, of LaBelle.
Another passenger in that vehicle, 20-year-old Tiffany Guinn, was critically injured. FHP says she suffered a serious brain injury.
Three other people involved in the crash were not injured.
