Fairbanks, AK : 2 dead, 1 injured in a two-vehicle collision on Nordale Road Wednesday afternoon, November 5, 2014

Alaska State Troopers have released the names of two men killed in a crash between a truck and a small sedan Wednesday northeast of Fairbanks. Troopers say 33-year-old Shane Yoder of Fairbanks and 73-year-old William Thurlby of North Pole died in the crash on Nordale Road less than a mile south of Chena Hot Springs Road. Thurlby was a passenger in the truck drive by 70-year-old Marvin Carroll of North Pole, who was seriously injured. The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner reports Yoder was driving the sedan and lost control. The sedan slammed into the truck. Troopers took a call on the crash at 2:17 p.m. Carroll was taken to Fairbanks Memorial Hospital.
