Brunswick County , NC : 60-year-old Debra Dunkle killed afterfatal accident on Hwy 211 Monday ,May 4 2015

Highway Patrol Troopers say 60-year-old Debra Dunkle, of Cleveland Heights, Ohio, was killed Monday in a head-on collision involving a vehicle and a dump truck.

According to Trooper C.S. Thompson, the accident happened around 1:20 p.m. Monday on Highway 211, near West Trace.

Officials said a small vehicle was traveling north on N.C. 211 when the driver realized they were about to rear-end another vehicle. The car then swerved to the left, crossing the center lane into the path of a dump truck, hitting it head on.

Dunkle was killed on impact.

Trooper Thompson said it took about three hours to clear the scene.
