Killington ,VT: No one injured in Two Vehicle Crash after he went over a frost and lost control also hit another vehicle on Sunday , Februar 15th 2015
Police say a frost heave was a factor in a car accident during the weekend.
Killington Police Department responded to a two-vehicle crash just before 9 p.m. Sunday on Route 4.
James Stellato, 22, of Pennsylvania, was driving east downhill on Route 4 when he went over a frost heave and lost control, police said.
The car Stellato was driving, a 2004 Subaru Forester, crossed the traffic line and nearly went head on with another vehicle, driven by Rutland resident Richard Moore, 70, according to police.
Both vehicles were damaged but neither driver suffered any injuries, said patrolman James Riehl.
Drivers are urged to use caution when driving during winter months, Riehl said.
