Austin, TX : One person killed in Loop 338 collision on Tuesday, 8th November 2016
A Crane resident was killed Tuesday and two people were hurt in a collision involving an 18-wheel truck hauling gravel and the Ford 4 X 4 pickup near Loop 338 and Grandview Avenue.
Jeffrey Sandoval, 33, died following the collision dispatchers received a call about at 9:51 a.m., Ector County Medical Examiner Chuck Moad said.
Two people were sent to Medical Center Hospital for treatment but Odessa Fire Capt. Richard Gaule said the extent of their injuries wasn’t known. One person from each vehicle had each suffered injuries and were taken to MCH, Gaule added.
Texas Department of Public Safety troopers were sent to the site where the collision occurred but no details were immediately available. DPS Sgt. Oscar Villarreal said an investigation as to how the collision happened was underway.
