COLORADO SPRINGS, CO : One person transported to local hospital after crash near Downtown Colorado Springs on Saturday, 15th July 2023

One person is in the hospital after being seriously injured after a rollover crash near downtown Colorado Springs.
According to Colorado Springs Police (CSPD) this car accident happened on northbound I-25, south of the Bijou exit on Saturday at 6:15PM.
Passing motorists rendered aid until Colorado Springs Police, Fire Department and AMR personnel arrived on scene, according to CSPD.
CSPD said on scene they confirmed speed was a factor in the crash and a second vehicle southbound was struck by debris from the crash northbound.
I-25 was closed for approximately one hour northbound for the crash investigation, and additional 30 minutes with limited lane access,according to CSPD.
