Trenton, NJ : Trenton pedestrian killed in hit-and-run crash on Saturday, December 3rd, 2016

A 30-year-old Trenton man was struck and killed Saturday while walking on a city street, police said.

The man was hit by a teal or blue Honda sedan around 7:40 p.m. at the intersection of Market and Jackson Streets Saturday evening.

The driver of the Honda initially stopped, but then fled on Market Street, police said. The car had heavy front end damage and a broken windshield, witnesses told police.

The man who was struck was taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 10:20 p.m., authorities said. He had apparently been walking to a neighborhood store from his residence on the 100 block of Mercer Street, police said.
