Wilmington, DE : Two men seriously injured in a crash in Penny Hill on Wednesday morning, July 20, 2016

Two drivers were seriously injured Wednesday morning in a crash in Penny Hill, according to New Castle County Paramedics.

Emergency responders were called at about 8:32 a.m. to Philadelphia Pike and Edgemoor Road for the report of a crash with injuries, paramedic Sgt. Abigail Haas said. On arrival, they found two cars which had collided and injured both men behind the wheel, she said.

A 60-year-old man was treated for a chest injury before he was taken to Christiana Hospital in serious but stable condition, Haas said.

The other driver, a 63-year-old man, was treated for possible head, neck and back injuries before he was also transported to Christiana Hospital in serious but stable condition, she said.

State police were on scene investigating the crash.
