Brookfield,CT : Main Street utility pole crash leads to DUI arrest on April, Friday 6th 2018

A Brookfield man was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol on Danbury Road at 11:51 p.m. Friday,

Ridgefield police said Christopher Perrozza, 29, was also charged with evading responsibility and failure to drive in the proper lane.

According to a report, Perrozza’s Audi A4 struck a utility pole on Main Street.

Perrozza drove away from the scene before police arrived, the report said, but his car was later intercepted traveling northbound on Danbury Road.

An investigation determined that Perrozza was driving under the influence.

The Eversource utility pole Perrozza collided with was damaged in the crash, the report said, and Perrozza’s car was later towed away with moderate damage.
