Bloomfield, NM : 14-year-old teenager killed in car crash south of Bloomfield on Wednesday morning, December 17, 2014

A 14-year-old Bloomfield boy was killed in a car crash on US 550 south of Bloomfield Wednesday morning. New Mexico State Police said a 17-year-old girl pulled into the southbound lanes of 550 and was broadsided by a truck driven by another Bloomfield woman. Police say the 17 year old failed to yield to traffic when trying to cross the southbound lane in order to get onto northbound 550. The 14-year-old boy was a passenger in her car and died in the accident. The 17-year-old driver was transported to San Juan Regional Medical Center with severe injuries and is in critical condition at this time. Source : 14-year-old Bloomfield boy killed in US 550 crash
