Las Vegas, NV : Moped rider critically injured in crash with car early Friday morning, March 4, 2016

A moped rider was in critical condition after colliding with a car early this morning, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.

The car was south on Rampart Boulevard about 4:30 a.m. when the driver attempted to make a left turn onto Summerlin Parkway and collided with the moped, which was north on Rampart, officials said.

The moped rider was taken to University Medical Center with critical injuries, officials said. The driver of the car was not injured.
