A woman was in the hospital Tuesday morning, accused of driving drunk and leading officers on a high speed chase through Cleveland County on her birthday. A Grover police officer and North Carolina Highway Patrol trooper tried to stop Edna Parker on Highway 226 late Monday night. They said she stopped for a moment and a passenger jumped out. But then they said she sped away and eventually crashed at the intersection of Cleveland Avenue and Post Road. She's expected to survive. Source : Woman crashes after high speed chase on her birthday
