Bunnell, FL : Palm Coast motorcyclist killed in Flagler County crash on Tuesday, May 10, 2016

A Palm Coast motorcyclist died Tuesday when an Ormond Beach woman cut him off as he was driving along U.S. 1 in Bunnell, according to a preliminary report from the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers identified the man as 59-year-old Thomas Dolan. Dolan died at the scene of the crash, which occurred about 4 p.m. at U.S. 1’s intersection with Old Dixie Highway.

According to the report, Dolan was northbound on his 2015 Harley Davidson in the inside lane on U.S. 1 when Peggy Puleo, 63, pulled out of the parking lot of White Eagle Lounge. She did not yield to Dolan’s approaching motorcycle, crossing all northbound lanes to turn into the median, the report states.

Troopers said Dolan collided with the back of Puleo’s car and was ejected from his Harley. Troopers continue to investigate the crash, and noted Dolan was wearing a helmet at the time.

Charges are pending in the case, FHP reports indicate.
