Buckhannon, WV : Nathaniel Beckner, 19, killed, and several people injured in two-vehicle car wreck on Brushy Fork Road in Upshur County on Friday morning, Aug 7, 2015

A 19-year-old Buckhannon man was killed after a two-vehicle collision on Brushy Fork Road in Upshur County early Friday morning.

According to the Upshur County Sheriff's Office, at approximately 4:30 a.m., two vehicles, a 2002 Jeep Liberty and 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier, collided travelling in opposite directions.

The passenger in the Cavalier, Nathaniel Beckner, 19, of Buckhannon, died around noon Friday due to injuries sustained in the collision, according to the sheriff's office.

Beckner was transported to St. Joseph's Hospital, and then transferred to Ruby Memorial Hospital due to the seriousness of his injuries.

Cameron Loudin, 22, of Ellamore, was the driver of the Jeep, and Devon Hinchman, 20, of Buckhannon, was the driver of the Cavalier. Both drivers were transported to local hospitals, along with three other passengers.

Buckhannon and Adrian Fire Departments responded and used the Jaws of Life to get people out of the vehicles.

Both Upshur County EMS and ESP EMS responded and transported the patients.

The Upshur County Sheriff's Office is investigating the collision.
