Joplin, MO : A Carl Junction man was injured in a one-vehicle accident on Monday, August 7, 2017

A Carl Junction man was injured in a one-vehicle accident at 7:20 p.m. Monday on Route D, a mile north of Oronogo in Jasper County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

Driver Matthew T. Moore, 28, suffered serious injuries. He was transported by ambulance to Freeman Hospital West in Joplin.

The patrol said Moore's southbound vehicle ran off the right side of the road and overturned.

• A Carthage woman was injured in a two-vehicle collision at 12:15 p.m. Tuesday on Missouri Highway 37, 2 miles west of Sarcoxie in Jasper County, the state patrol said.

Driver Jennie M. Tamerius, 22, of Reeds, suffered minor injuries. She was taken by private vehicle to Mercy Hospital Carthage. Helen L. Davis, 65, of Aurora, driver of the other vehicle, was not injured.

The patrol said the northbound David vehicle turned into the path of the southbound Tamerius vehicle.
