Lansing, MI : A 28-year-old woman and her 31-year-old husband were hospitalized on Sunday, October, 8th 2017

A 28-year-old woman and her 31-year-old husband were hospitalized Sunday after being injured in a two-car crash in Montcalm County’s Cato Township.

Troopers from the state police post in Lakeview responded to the crash at the intersection of M-46 and M-91 that happened shortly after 8 p.m. Sunday.

Preliminary investigation showed that the driver of a Ford truck hauling another vehicle on a trailer tried to make a left turn onto M-91 from M-46 and pulled into the path of an eastbound Chrysler minivan, injuring the man and woman, who were among five people in the vehicle, state police said.

The driver and a passenger in the truck, both from Gowan, were not injured, police said.

The crash remains under investigation, and Montcalm County Rescue 28, Alpha 5, the Lakeview Fire Department, the Lakeview Police Department, Montcalm County Central Dispatch and Safety First wrecker assisted at the scene.
