West Palm Beach, FL : West Boynton man, 93, killed in car crash west along Okeechobee Boulevard Tuesday, November 15, 2016

A collision between a Honda Accord and Lexis IS outside of West Palm Beach sent both drivers to a hospital, where one of the men died from his injuries, a police official said.

William S. Schwartz, 93, of West Boynton, was driving west along Okeechobee Boulevard Tuesday when his Honda crashed at Drexel Road with the Lexus sedan driven by Hien Thi Tang, 20, of West Palm Beach, the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office said in a press release.

The Honda turned into the path of the Lexus which was traveling east and struck a fire hydrant after the collision that happened Tuesday at 11:43 p.m., the agency said.

Both men were taken to St. Mary's Medical Center in West Palm Beach, where Schwartz died early Wednesday and Tang was treated for serious injuries, according to the sheriff's office.
