FRANKLIN COUNTY, VA : Man killed in Franklin County crash on Friday, 26th April 2024

Virginia State Police have released the name of a man killed in a crash Friday afternoon.

Gary Lynn Chisom, 66 of Goodview, died at the scene of the crash on Route 679, one mile south of Route 634 in Franklin County, according to police.

Police say Chisom was driving a Dodge pickup southbound on Route 679, ran off the left side of the road and hit a tree.

Police say he was not wearing a seatbelt.
