Maryville, TN : Worker injured in DENSO accident on Saturday, March 25th 2017
A worker at DENSO plant 101 was taken to an area hospital Saturday night following an accident with a piece of industrial machinery, authorities said.
Authorities were called to DENSO Manufacturing Tennessee Inc., 1720 Robert C. Jackson Drive, Maryville, just before 8 p.m., said Maryville Fire Capt. Mike Davis.
Davis said the original call involved a “traumatic injury,” however Blount County dispatchers later alerted them it involved an accident with industrial machinery.
“(Dispatchers) told us it was involving some entrapment in a machine,” Davis said.
Just before firefighters arrived at the auto parts manufacturing plant, however, they were notified the man had been freed, Davis said.
“We never did get on scene,” Davis said.
