Bismarck, ND : Driver dies in Griggs County crash on Tuesday 30th August, 2016

A driver died in a rollover crash Tuesday in Griggs County, according to North Dakota Highway Patrol.
The male driver of a 1979 Corvette was eastbound on N.D. Highway 200 near mile marker 345 at around 7:27 p.m. when he failed to negotiate a curve in the road just west of the Sheyenne River Valley, the patrol said. The Corvette drove onto the shoulder when the driver overcorrected, and the vehicle traveled across the highway, entered the ditch and rolled.

The driver died at the scene, the patrol said. The female passenger was airlifted to Sanford Medical Center in Fargo. The driver and passenger were not wearing seat belts.

Names were not immediately released.

Cooperstown Ambulance, the Griggs County Sheriff’s Office and Cooperstown Fire & Rescue also responded.
