A car crashed into a pole at the intersection of North 23rd and Market streets at 4:50 p.m. Saturday.New Hanover Regional EMS units responded to assess possible injuries. Engines with the Wilmington Fire Department also responded and officers with the Wilmington Police Department controlled traffic, according to New Hanover County Dispatchers.Dispatchers also said the crash may have temporarily knocked out power in the area.
