Cleves, OH : 52-year-old man injured in a single-vehicle crash near the Whitewater Township Community Center on Wednesday night, June 17, 2015

A 52-year-old man had to be airlifted to the hospital Wednesday night after flipping his car in Cleves.

A medical helicopter responded to Kilby Road after reports that a man was trapped in a vehicle after it had struck a utility pole and flipped near the Whitewater Township Community Center around 6 p.m., according to police.

No other vehicles were involved in the accident. Dispatchers could not confirm if the driver was only person in the vehicle, but no other injuries were reported.

Kilby Road was closed in both directions for nearly three hours.
