Allentown, PA : Man killed in head-on crash with drunk driver traveling wrong way in Bucks County early Saturday, January 21, 2017

An Allentown man was killed early Saturday in a head-on crash with a drunken driver on Route 309 in Bucks County, authorities said.

Damian Toalombo, 24, was traveling north on the Route 309 bypass, north of Route 113, at 12:12 a.m. Saturday when his vehicle collided with a car traveling the wrong way, according to Hilltown Township police.

After the collision in the left lane of the highway, Toalombo was transported to Grand View Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the other vehicle, Noelle Theresa Chew, 26, of Fieldstone Court, Quakertown, was taken into custody after refusing treatment for her non-life-threatening injuries.

She was charged with homicide by vehicle while driving under the influence of alcohol; homicide by vehicle; drunken driving; reckless driving; and driving the wrong direction.

Hilltown Police Chief Christopher Engelhart said Chew's blood-alcohol content is not being disclosed at this time.

Chew was arraigned and sent to Bucks County Prison under $500,000 bail.

Hilltown police were assisted by the Bucks County district attorney's office, the Bucks County district attorney's office crash investigation team, Pennridge Regional police, Souderton Fire Company, Souderton fire police, Souderton Ambulance, Grand View Hospital's Medic 151 and the Bucks County coroner's office.
