LANSING, MI : Police ID Lansing man killed in crash on Tuesday, 18th February, 2020

Police have released the identity of the Lansing man killed in a Monday morning crash in south Lansing.

Tommy Lee Cole, 44, was pronounced dead at the scene of the single-vehicle crash in the 2400 block of Miller Road, between South Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Pleasant Grove Road, Lansing Police Public Information Director Robert Merritt said.

Cole and three passengers were in a vehicle just before 3:30 a.m. when it left the road, struck a utility pole and rolled onto its side, Merritt said. The three passengers were taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police believe speed and alcohol were a factor in the crash.
