Albany, OR : A 48-year-old Albany man suffered significant injuried in a crash on May, Friday, 19th 2017
A 48-year-old Albany man suffered significant injuries Friday afternoon when his bicycle struck a 2016 Chevy Silverado in the 2800 block of Santiam Highway SE.
The accident was reported shortly before 2 p.m.
According to Albany Police Lieutenant Alan Lynn, the bicyclist was crossing the highway when he hit the pickup's rear side. He was transported to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis, where he is in stable condition. His exact injuries were not known.
The Silverado's driver was traveling at a normal speed and showed no signs of impairment. She cooperated with the investigation, Lynn said.
