Salem, OR : A Pendleton man was killed in a single-vehicle crash on May, Friday, 12th 2017

Oregon State Police reports a Pendleton man was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Highway 97 near Milepost 50 Friday at 5 p.m. Shawn Campbell, 39, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The preliminary investigation indicates that Tiarra Burnette, 40, of Pendleton, was driving northbound in a 2012 Kia Ultima when it began to hail. She lost control of the vehicle, which fishtailed, struck an embankment and rolled. The vehicle came to rest on the driver’s side.
Campbell was a passenger in the rear seat. The right front passenger, Joseph Perilli, 28, of Pendleton and Burnette were not injured. OSP reports that all three were wearing seatbelts.
Troopers were assisted at the scene by the Wasco County Sheriff’s Office and Sherman County Fire and Rescue.
