Allentown, PA : Tractor-trailer crash on I-78 in Bethlehem shuts eastbound lanes on Monday, 9th April 2018
Interstate 78 was shut down about four hours Monday afternoon in Bethlehem after a tractor-trailer crashed and toppled on its side, according to emergency radio reports.
The truck crashed about 1 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of I-78 between Routes 145 and 412. One person was reported trapped in the cab and had to be extricated by a fire rescue crew.
Information on the freed person’s condition was not available. State police were investigating.
Two tow trucks helped to upright the tractor-trailer before it was hauled from the accident scene, near the Lower Saucon Township border.
