Lexington, S.C : Woman ejected, killed in I-20 accident in Lexington County on Friday morning, October 21, 2016

The Lexington County Coroner's Office has identified a 58-year-old woman as the victim in a traffic accident that shut down parts of Interstate 20 in Lexington County on Friday morning.

Coroner Margaret Fisher said Mary Frances Young died at the scene due to injuries sustained in the accident. The South Carolina Highway Patrol said the victim in this accident was ejected from her car.

The crash was reported at about 6 a.m. at mile marker 47 of the eastbound lanes, which is between the Pond Branch Road exit and Caulks Ferry Road.

Traffic was detoured onto exit 44, which is Pond Branch Road.

Three vehicles were involved in the crash. Other than the fatality, no other injuries were reported.
