DAYTON, OH : 3 injured in RTA minibus-car collision on Thursday, 6th June 2019

Justin Dean, who helped rescue two elderly women trapped in an RTA minibus left on its side after a collision Thursday afternoon, doesn’t consider himself a hero.He said he was driving to church when he saw the accident on West Second Street at North Euclid Avenue. He, a cousin who was with him and another motorist jumped into the bus to free the passengers.“Luckily I was blessed to be there,” Dean told News Center 7’s Monica Castro. “Unfortunately for a bad situation, but it turned into a good situation.”

Police and multiple medic units responded to the crash just after 5:30 p.m., per initial reports.

The women and the RTA driver were taken to a hospital, all suffering non-life threatening injuries, RTA COO Chris Cole said. There was no word from Dayton police or firefighters about the driver of the car in the collision.
